On March 31, 2011 my dad arrived in Londontown!!!
The first day he was here we went pub hopping around our hotel which was located near Green Park. After we hit a couple of pubs, we went to the Spaghetti House for dinner(so good). We called it an early night because we had a lot to accomplish the next day.
On the second day we saw London through the eyes of the Beatles. We went to all of the important places in London that the Beatles had been to or done something great at.
We started with Abbey Road, took the iconic picture and explored the entire area. We walked the entire Abbey Road and took a ton of great pictures.
One of the best things we found was Paul's house on Cavendish Avenue...it is not labeled so it was not an easy find but we did it!
Next we walked around central London to see some more Beatles hangouts. We saw where Brian Epstein had once worked, where the Apple store once stood and the roof of the famous rooftop concert at 3 Savile Row.
We also hit the Beatles store, Rock n' Roll store and stumbled upon Sherlock Holmes' detective agency in the process.
The next day we went on a cigar tour of London. We walked around and looked at all the best cigar stores throughout London. There was one right next to Winston Churchill's flat and another had a chair that he would sit in while smoking cigars.
Our look at London was unique and so much fun. We saw a side of London that I would have never discovered on my own...so cool!!
